An accomplished singer, actress and lyricst - Heidi is a performer who spent years of study with the great New York lyric coloratura soprano Marjorie Gordon and the renowned vocal coach Seth Riggs of Los Angeles. Heidi's unique vocal color and range has been described as a cross between Cleo Laine, Sarah Brightman and Yma Sumac.

Heidi continues the lineage of the world renowned New York voice teacher Samuel Margolis. Opera teacher to greats such as Jerome Hines, Robert Merrill and Heidi's own life long teacher Marjorie Gordon who was brought to Maestro Margolis by her close friend Robert Merrill while they were teenagers in New York.
HEIDI HEPLER, grew up in the midwest outside of Detroit in Livonia, Michigan. At the age of nine she began singing in her church choir and studying cello. Always involved in school plays and vocal groups, Heidi would eventually meet and begin advanced vocal training with New York lyric coloratura soprano - Marjorie Gordon, who, lucky for Heidi, had moved to Detroit when her husband, the great violist Nathan Gordon left the NBC orchestra under Arturo Toscanini to became first violist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Along with her life long study with Marjorie, Heidi spent time in Los Angeles where she worked with the renowned vocal coach Seth Riggs. Heidi also had the distinct honor of winning the title of 'Miss Michigan' and representing her state at the Miss America Pageant, where she performed the lively 'Italian Street Song' from 'Naughty Marietta' written in 1910 - Music, Victor Herbert and Lyrics, Rida Johnson Young.
Theater and voice studies were continued with the University of Michigan Opera Theater at Interlochen National Arts & Music School. Heidi's musical theater and operetta and theater credits include Marietta -'Naughty Marietta', Lauretta -'The Music Master', Fiona - 'Brigadoon', Belinda -'Dido & Aeneas', Julie Jordan - 'Carousel', Luisa - 'The Fantastiks', Eve - "The Apple Tree", Miss Fancy - 'Sly Fox', Musetta - 'La Boheme', Guadalena,/Pericole - 'La Pericole, Veronica, 'Veronica's Room' and others.

FORD, GENERAL MOTORS, CHRYSLER, HYATT HOTELS, JEEP WRANGLER, CHEVY TRUCK, BLUE CROSS, AAA, ETC,.While living and performing in Rome, Italy Heidi was heard by the producer of large jazz festival as she sang in a Rome Jazz Club. He immediately booked her as a featured performer at the '15th Festival Jazz di Roma'. Heidi was also hired as production manager to oversee all production and artist contracts for this month long, 20 concert festival which took place in the Roman Olympic Stadium. Her dual language ability and background as a performer was a big plus as the artists she oversaw included, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Manhattan Transfer, The Tower of Power, Paquito D'Rivera, Archie Schepp, Ornette Coleman, Pat Metheny, James Moody, John Faddis.
Heidi and Italian guitarist and violinist Michele Ramo began working together in 1994 and were married the same year. Since moving to New York in 1999, Heidi and Michele have been heard together at the Duplex Cabaret Theater, Iridium Jazz Club, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, The National Arts Club for the Dutch Treat Club, as well as performing a double bill with the great guitarist/composer Jorge Morel in the Virgin Islands for Art D'Lugoff, owner and impresario of the world renowned 'Village Gate' Jazz Club.
Along with live performance, Heidi is busy teaching, coaching and passing on her knowledge to singers of all ages. Private studies are in the Ramo Manhattan Music studio and Heidi is on the voice staff at Five Towns College of the Performing Arts in Long Island.
